––– OUR APPROACH

When advanced testing is the next step

When standard lab panels have not provided clear answers, advanced lab testing is the next step. These panels are chosen based on your clinical presentation, health history, and the findings from your initial assessment.

These panels provide deeper insights into hormonal balance, metabolism, cardiovascular health, inflammation, and overall wellness during the aging process, allowing for personalized treatment plans that support energy, vitality, healthy aging, and disease prevention.

Routine panels are built to screen for disease across a population. They answer a narrow set of questions efficiently. Advanced panels answer different questions, and they are worth running when the narrow ones have come back unremarkable and you still do not feel well.

Step 01

How testing is decided

Testing is never ordered by default. Panels are selected after your initial assessment, based on your symptoms, your history, and what standard testing has already shown or failed to show.

The question we ask before ordering anything is whether the result would change what we recommend. If it would not, the test is not run.

Step 02

How results are used

Results are interpreted within the context of your full clinical picture, not read in isolation. A value at the edge of a reference range can mean something different in a person with symptoms than in a person without them.

We review results with you in plain language, explain what they suggest, and build the plan from there.

Common questions

Common questions

Can I use my insurance for lab work?

We do not bill insurance for consultations. Insurance covers most lab work, though not all. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, HSA, and FSA, and financing is available through Cherry.

What is the difference between this and the blood work my doctor orders?

Routine panels screen for common conditions across a population. Advanced panels look more closely at specific systems and are chosen for your presentation rather than run as a standard set.

Are these tests FDA approved?

Some specialty panels are specialized diagnostic tests that have not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Results are interpreted within the context of a comprehensive clinical evaluation and are not intended to independently diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

How long is the first visit?

Long enough to hear your full history and ask the questions that follow from it. Most patients find it considerably longer than they are used to.

How long do results take?

Turnaround varies by panel. We tell you what to expect when testing is ordered and schedule your review accordingly.

Do I need testing to get started?

No. We begin with your history and assessment. Testing follows only if it will add insight.

Will you explain the results to me?

Yes. Results are reviewed with you, in plain language, alongside what they mean for your care.
